Arlington Sports Conditioning (ASC)Â is an athletic strength and conditioning program that has helped thousands of local residents get faster, stronger, and fitter. ASC offers outdoor workouts all year and also offers indoor workouts during the winter.
While ASC proudly welcomes people of all ages, fitness levels, and backgrounds, ASC typically appeals to people with certain preferences.
You like being outside. While we offer some indoor workouts in the winter, most of our workouts are outdoors, and we never cancel workouts due to weather. Training outdoors adds variety and builds mental toughness.
You want to be part of a team. All ASC workouts include team-oriented exercises and drills. ASC also organizes special events throughout the year to help members connect with each other outside of workouts.  Â
You want to train like an athlete. Unlike most group workouts, we never use treadmills, rowing machines, or stationary bikes. Machines might burn calories, but they don’t improve core strength or athleticism. We focus on dynamic, athletic movements (i.e., sprinting, jumping, agility drills, etc.), and we use functional equipment (i.e., dumbbells, kettlebells, and resistance bands).
You want to be coached by an athletic, credible expert. You won't find any junior coaches or rah-rah cheerleaders leading ASC workouts.Â
You enjoy supporting small, local businesses and your local community. ASC is one of the only fitness businesses to be started and led by an Arlington resident. In addition, ASC shares its revenue with Arlington County Parks and Rec. By joining ASC, you also support Arlington’s parks, trails, and nature areas, and you keep Arlington clean, green, and healthy.
ASC started in 2012. At the time, ASC Founder Pete Leibman was teaching a weekly Sports Conditioning class for Gold’s Gym. The class had become extremely popular, often getting over 100 people per class (photo below).
One day, Pete asked the group if they would be interested in doing a workout outdoors. Everyone was interested. Three days later, Pete hosted ASC’s first outdoor workout.
Since then, ASC has led more than 1500 workouts for thousands of people.
While most of our members have been with us for years, we are just getting started…
Every ASC workout is different. However, there are two formats for our workouts:
ASC offers six group workouts each week:
ASC operates throughout the year- rain, shine, sleet, or snow. Photo below from one of our blizzard workouts!
You can save over 50% off the single-session rate ($40 per session) with an ASC membership. There are no taxes or initiation fees. It is easy to get started. You can change or stop your membership at any time.
VIP Membership is the most popular option and includes group personal training for a fraction of the cost of one-on-one personal training. Space is limited. Click below to register today.
ASC is HSA/FSA eligible, thanks to our partnership with Truemed.
That means you may be eligible to use pre-tax dollars to pay for ASC, which can save you an extra 30%, on average. You can learn more at ArlingtonSC.com/hsa-fsa.
While most ASC clients do a membership in order to increase accountability and pay lower per-session rates, sessions can also be purchased one at a time or in packages:
ASC Gift Cards are also available in increments of $100, $500, or $1,000:
